Job Description
 
Are you a Test Automation Manager with a Consumer Electronic or Media background?
We need you to join our XPERI Consumer Electronics business to work on test automation of DTS Audio technologies and solutions in customer end-devices.
 
We are seeking an experienced and driven Test Automation Manager to lead our test efforts in Taipei. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of test automation, tools, and best practices, along with excellent leadership abilities. You will be responsible for developing and executing the automation strategy, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our automated test packages, and guiding the team to enhance overall quality. 
 
What you will get to do:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test-automation developers and test engineers.
  • Develop automation packages to test DTS audio technologies integrated in consumer end products.
  • Ensure developed test packages are robust, reliable, and cover all requirements.
  • Create clear documentation, describing test modules and test cases. 
  • Ensure good software development processes followed.
  • Manage scheduling, task assignment, review of results, customer support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team and provide coaching to support team members' growth. 
  • Be hands-on in all aspects of the development and testing, as well as managing the team.  

Who we are looking for:
Must have:
  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of test automation experience
  • An additional 4+ years managing development and test teams
  • Proficient in one or more computer programming languages (e.g. Python, C/C++)
  • Proven experience with automated testing, using scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with development and debugging within industry standard IDE’s
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., Jira,TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining test automation packages.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, written and verbal essential.
  • Ability to work well in a globally distributed work environment
  • Passion for developing great products and working with talented technical teams.
 
Nice to have:
  • ISTQB Test Manager certification
  • Consumer electronic product and audio test experience
  • Experience with Audio Precision Analysers or equivalent.
